SACAD 2013 sees the airfield celebrating the 70th anniversary its opening as a USAAF air base in World War 2 and takes place on Sunday 8th September 2013.

As befits such a special occassion we are expecting some special guests to display for us this year. Visit the Air Display page for details.

Of course once again we will be raising money for local and national charities and good causes. The East Anglian Air Ambulance along with the Macmillan Cancer Support charity will be the main beneficaries from the event while many others will be on site to promote their various causes.

What a fantastic day we had this year. The weather couldnt have been kinder to us and the aircraft displays were out of this world!

We were blessed with not one, but two Spitfires do what they alone can do best, and as for the Fiesler Storch, it was one of those breathtaking displays never to forget! The Great War Dislay team helped to span almost every decade of aviation as they wheeled across the skies over a record attendance.

We also had a record number of classic cars, motorcycles, and military vehicles which, together with a massive array of charity and craft stalls made the whole event unforgettable. Roll on 2013!

Seething Airfield Charity Airday

Sunday 8th September 2013

Seething Airfield

Seething Airfield is a privately owned airfield in Norfolk situated south east of Norwich and just a few miles from the east coast.

Now home to a thriving flying club, the airfield was constructed as a base for Liberator bombers for the USAF 448th Bomb Group. You can still catch tantalising glimpses of those days on the airfield today.

CONTROL TOWER MUSEUM: The former RAF Seething's rich history is captured in the iconic control tower of the airbase which is now home to a fine museum charting the life and work of those who worked there during the War years. The Control Tower is open the first Sunday of each month from May to October inclusive.
